Cheese Curds and Breading

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Breading Station

Set up a breading station by placing the flour, beaten eggs, and bread crumbs in three separate shallow bowls.

  2. 2

    Season the Breading

In the bread crumbs, add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well to combine.

  3. 3

    Bread the Cheese Curds

Dip each cheese curd first into the flour, shaking off excess, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat in the seasoned bread crumbs. Ensure each curd is well coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pan or fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Curds

Carefully add the breaded cheese curds to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve hot with ranch dressing for dipping.
