Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Veal

Season the veal cutlets with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate shallow bowls, place flour in the first, beat the eggs in the second, and mix the breadcrumbs with grated Parmesan cheese in the third.

  3. 3

    Bread the Veal

Dredge each veal cutlet in flour, shaking off excess. Dip into beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat in the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

  4. 4

    Fry the Veal

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the breaded veal cutlets and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Dish

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Place the fried veal cutlets in the dish and top each with marinara sauce, followed by a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese.

  6. 6

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves, and serve hot.
