Seafood
Mustard Sauce
Method
Preparation of Calamari
- 1
Clean the Calamari
Begin by cleaning the calamari. Remove the head and innards, then peel off the skin. Rinse under cold water and cut into rings.
- 2
Boil or Fry
You can either boil the calamari in salted water for 2-3 minutes or fry them in hot oil until golden brown. If frying, make sure the oil is hot enough to prevent the calamari from becoming rubbery.
Preparation of Mustard Sauce
- 3
Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well blended.
- 4
Add Fresh Parsley
Finally, fold in the chopped fresh parsley into the mustard sauce for added flavor and freshness.
Serve
- 5
Plate the Calamari
Once the calamari is cooked, drain and place them on a serving platter.
- 6
Serve with Sauce
Serve the calamari hot with the mustard sauce on the side for dipping.
