Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tuna

Using a sharp knife, dice the fresh tuna into small 1/4 inch cubes. Place it in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Chop the Onion and Parsley

Finely chop the red onion and fresh parsley. Add both to the bowl with the tuna.

  3. 3

    Combine Marinade Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Pour this mixture over the tuna, onion, and parsley.

  4. 4

    Add Egg Yolk

Gently place the egg yolk on top of the tuna mixture without breaking it, allowing the yolk to serve as a rich dressing.

Serving

  1. 5

    Prepare the Avocado

Slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Cut it into thin slices.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Tartare

Spoon the tuna tartare mixture into a serving bowl. Arrange the avocado slices on top of the tartare.

  3. 7

    Serve with Tortilla Chips

Place tortilla chips around the bowl for dipping. Serve immediately.
