Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the spaghetti or linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Once the butter has melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  3. 3

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and are opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  4. 4

    Deglaze the Pan

Pour in the white wine and lemon juice into the skillet, scraping up any bits from the bottom. Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes until the liquid reduces slightly.

  5. 5

    Combine Everything

Return the shrimp to the skillet along with the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the cooked pasta. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce. Stir in the chopped parsley.

  6. 6

    Serve

Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and black pepper if needed. Serve immediately and enjoy your Garlic Shrimp Scampi!
