Method

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a medium bowl, combine the peeled and deveined shrimp, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat and set aside.

Banana Sauce

  1. 3

    Prepare the Sauce

In a saucepan, combine the mashed bananas, coconut milk, honey (or maple syrup), lime juice, and chili flakes (if using). Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture is heated through and slightly thickened, about 5-7 minutes.

Garnish

  1. 4

    Plate and Garnish

Serve the cooked shrimp on a plate, drizzled with the warm banana sauce. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side.
