Method

For the Crab Cakes

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Add Crab Meat

Gently fold in the crab meat and breadcrumbs until just combined. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

  3. 3

    Form the Cakes

Shape the mixture into patties, about 1 inch thick. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. 4

    Chill

Cover the crab cakes with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

  5. 5

    Cook the Cakes

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Cook the crab cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Remove and keep warm.

For the Shrimp

  1. 6

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine the shrimp, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Let marinate for 15 minutes.

  2. 7

    Cook the Shrimp

In a separate skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove from heat and chill.

For the Sauces

  1. 8

    Prepare the Cocktail Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together ketchup and horseradish until well combined. Adjust horseradish to taste.

  2. 9

    Prepare the Spicy Mustard Sauce

In another bowl, mix the spicy mustard with a little water to thin it out, if desired.
