Steak and Marinade
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well to create a marinade.
- 2
Marinate the Steak
Place the skirt steak in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it's well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours.
- 3
Preheat the Cast Iron Skillet
Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Allow it to get very hot for a few minutes.
- 4
Cook the Steak
Remove the steak from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Place the steak in the hot skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy (130°F for medium-rare).
