Method
Prepare the Beef Filling
- 1
Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- 2
Add Seasoning
Drain excess fat from the skillet. Add taco seasoning and water to the browned beef. Stir well to combine.
- 3
Simmer
Reduce heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken.
Prepare the Tortillas
- 4
Heat the Tortillas
In a separate skillet, heat corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until they are warm and slightly crispy.
- 5
Crisp the Tortillas
To achieve extra crispiness, you can lightly fry the tortillas in a small amount of oil for about 1 minute on each side.
Assemble the Tacos
- 6
Layer the Ingredients
Take a warm tortilla and add a generous spoonful of the seasoned beef filling. Top with shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese, pico de gallo, and a drizzle of chipotle sauce.
- 7
Serve
Repeat the process for the remaining tortillas. Serve immediately with extra chipotle sauce and lime wedges on the side.
