Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature will help the Brussels sprouts to roast nicely.
- 2
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Trim the stems of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Rinse them under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
Roasting
- 3
Toss with Olive Oil and Seasonings
In a large mixing bowl, add the cleaned Brussels sprouts, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.
- 4
Arrange on Baking Sheet
Spread the Brussels sprouts out in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
- 5
Roast the Brussels Sprouts
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for 20-25 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are golden brown and crispy on the outside, tossing halfway through cooking.
Finishing Touch
- 6
Toss with Balsamic Glaze
Once roasted, remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and drizzle with balsamic glaze. Toss to coat the sprouts evenly in the glaze.
- 7
Serve
Transfer the balsamic-glazed Brussels sprouts to a serving dish and enjoy them warm as a delicious side dish.
