Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Form the Patty

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 3/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Bacon Preparation

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a separate skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Drain on paper towels and set aside.

Cheese Melting

  1. 4

    Melt the Cheese

During the last minute of cooking the patties, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover with a lid. Allow to melt.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Toast the Buns

If desired, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 6

    Build the Burger

Place a patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato slice, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Place the top half of the bun on each burger.
