Meatballs and Sauces

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meatballs

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and dried oregano. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Meatballs

Take a small portion of the mixture and place a cube of mozzarella in the center. Roll the mixture into a ball, ensuring the mozzarella is fully enclosed. Repeat until all the mixture is used.

  3. 3

    Cook the Meatballs

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Marinara Sauce

Once the meatballs are browned, pour the marinara sauce over them. Cover and let simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Walnut Pesto

In a food processor, combine toasted walnuts, basil leaves, grated Parmesan, garlic, and olive oil. Blend until smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the meatballs topped with marinara sauce and a drizzle of walnut pesto.
