Deviled Eggs

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil the Eggs

Place the eggs in a pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the pot and remove it from heat. Let the eggs sit for 12-15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cool and Peel

Transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water to cool for about 5 minutes. Once cooled, gently tap the eggs on a hard surface and peel under running water.

  3. 3

    Make the Filling

Slice the eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks. In a bowl, mash the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

  4. 4

    Fill the Eggs

Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.

  5. 5

    Garnish

Sprinkle the filled eggs with paprika and chopped chives for garnish.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
