Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Broccoli Rabe
Trim the ends of the broccoli rabe and wash it thoroughly under cold water. If the stems are thick, you may want to peel them slightly.
- 2
Blanch the Broccoli Rabe
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the broccoli rabe and blanch for about 2-3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Drain and immediately plunge into ice water to stop the cooking process.
- 3
Sauté the Garlic
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until the garlic is fragrant and just beginning to brown, about 1-2 minutes.
- 4
Add the Broccoli Rabe
Add the blanched broccoli rabe to the skillet. Toss to combine and sauté for another 4-5 minutes until heated through. Season with salt to taste.
- 5
Finish with Lemon Juice
Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice before serving. Toss lightly to combine.
