Brisket and Toppings
Method
Preparation and Assembly
- 1
Prepare the Brisket
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Rub the brisket all over with olive oil, then generously season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- 2
Cook the Brisket
Place the seasoned brisket in a roasting pan and cover it tightly with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 3-4 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
- 3
Rest the Brisket
Once cooked, remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing. This helps retain the juices.
- 4
Slice and Assemble
Slice the brisket thickly against the grain. Spread a generous amount of horseradish mayo on the bottom half of each brioche bun. Add slices of brisket, top with pickled red onion, and finish with the top half of the bun.
- 5
Serve
Serve the brisket sandwiches warm with your favorite sides.
