Ingredients for Coors Light
Brewing Directions for Coors Light
1. Mashing
In a large mash tun, combine the malted barley and corn with 10 liters of hot water (approximately 65°C). Stir well and allow the mixture to steep for 60 minutes.
2. Lautering
After mashing, transfer the mixture to a lauter tun to separate the liquid wort from the grain. Rinse the grains with hot water to extract maximum sugars.
3. Boiling
Bring the wort to a boil and add the hops. Boil for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the hops to impart bitterness and aroma.
4. Cooling
After boiling, cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller until it reaches around 20°C.
5. Fermentation
Transfer the cooled wort to a fermentation vessel and pitch the yeast. Seal the vessel with an airlock and allow it to ferment for about 1-2 weeks at a stable temperature.
6. Bottling
Once fermentation is complete, siphon the beer into sanitized bottles, leaving some headspace. Optionally add priming sugar to carbonate the beer.
7. Conditioning
Cap the bottles and store them at room temperature for 1-2 weeks to carbonate. Then, refrigerate before serving.
