Burger Patty

Cheese & Bun

Method

Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty

In a large bowl, combine the natural Angus beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help it cook evenly.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Cheese & Bun

  1. 4

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of cooking the patties, place a slice of gouda cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt the cheese.

  2. 5

    Toast the Buns

While the cheese is melting, slice the brioche buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to create fries.

  2. 7

    Season the Fries

In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, and paprika until evenly coated.

  3. 8

    Bake the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Assembly

  1. 9

    Assemble the Burger

Place the cooked patty with melted gouda on the bottom half of each toasted brioche bun. Top with the other half of the bun.

  2. 10

    Serve

Serve the Royal Burger with a side of crispy fries.
