Ice Cream

Streusel Crumble

Caramel Sauce

Method

Preparing the Apples

  1. 1

    Slice and Mix

Core and slice the apples into thin wedges. In a mixing bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice and sugar until evenly coated. Set aside to allow the flavors to meld.

Making the Streusel Crumble

  1. 2

    Prepare the Crumble

In a bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, rolled oats, and cinnamon. Mix well. Melt the butter and fold it into the dry ingredients until crumbly. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  2. 3

    Bake the Crumble

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the streusel for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it cool.

Making the Caramel Sauce

  1. 4

    Cook the Caramel

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the granulated sugar, stirring constantly until it turns amber. Carefully add the butter and continue stirring. Once melted, slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Assembling the Dish

  1. 5

    Layer the Ingredients

In serving bowls, start with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, add a generous portion of the lemon-sugar coated apples on top, sprinkle with the streusel crumble, and drizzle with warm caramel sauce. Serve immediately.
