Method

Cocktail Preparation

  1. 1

    Muddle the Mint and Lime

In a sturdy glass, add the fresh mint leaves and sugar. Cut the lime into wedges and add it to the glass. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently press down to release the mint oils and lime juice. Be careful not to tear the mint leaves too much, as it can make the drink taste bitter.

  2. 2

    Add Rum

Pour the white rum over the muddled mint and lime mixture. Stir gently to combine the ingredients and dissolve the sugar.

  3. 3

    Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes to the top. This will help chill the drink and keep it refreshing.

  4. 4

    Top with Club Soda

Slowly pour the club soda over the ice until the glass is nearly full. This adds the signature fizz to your mojito.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime wedge on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer to mix the ingredients together.
