Method

Preparing Coffee

  1. 1

    Grind Coffee Beans

Measure out 8 oz of whole coffee beans and grind them using a coffee grinder to your preferred coarseness. For a standard drip coffee, a medium grind is recommended.

  2. 2

    Boil Water

In a kettle, bring 2 cups of filtered water to a boil. Once boiled, remove from heat and let it cool for about 30 seconds to reach the ideal brewing temperature of 195°F to 205°F (90°C to 96°C).

  3. 3

    Brew Coffee

Place the ground coffee in a coffee filter or French press. Pour the hot water over the grounds evenly and allow them to steep for about 4-5 minutes. If using a French press, press down the plunger slowly after steeping.

  4. 4

    Serve Coffee

Pour the brewed coffee into your favorite mug. If desired, add sugar and/or milk or cream to taste. Stir well and enjoy your freshly brewed Julia's Java Coffee!
