Lady Fingers

Mascarpone Mixture

Method

Preparation of Lady Fingers

  1. 1

    Prepare Espresso Mixture

Brew 1 cup of strong espresso coffee. Allow it to cool slightly, then stir in the coffee liqueur.

  2. 2

    Dip Lady Fingers

Quickly dip each lady finger into the espresso mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Lay them in a single layer in a rectangular dish.

Mascarpone Mixture

  1. 3

    Mix Mascarpone

In a large bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.

  2. 4

    Whip Cream

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

  3. 5

    Combine Mixtures

Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.

  4. 6

    Add Cocoa Powder

Sift the cocoa powder into the mixture and fold gently until combined.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Layer the Tiramisu

Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the first layer of dipped lady fingers. Add another layer of dipped lady fingers, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.

  2. 8

    Chill

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Topping

  1. 9

    Serve

Before serving, dust the top with dark cocoa powder and sprinkle with chocolate shavings.
