Method

Prepare the Mushrooms

  1. 1

    Clean the Mushrooms

Rinse the button mushrooms under cold water and gently scrub to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

  2. 2

    Slice the Mushrooms

Slice the mushrooms into halves or quarters, depending on their size. This will help them cook evenly.

Cook the Mushrooms

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.

  2. 4

    Add the Mushrooms

Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan in a single layer. Cook for about 5 minutes until they start to brown, stirring occasionally.

  3. 5

    Add Curry Seasoning

Sprinkle the curry powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper over the mushrooms. Stir well to coat the mushrooms evenly with the spices.

  4. 6

    Finish Cooking

Continue to cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and fully cooked.

Prepare the Curry Ketchup

  1. 7

    Mix Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, curry powder, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Stir until well mixed.

Serve

  1. 8

    Plate the Dish

Transfer the curried fried mushrooms to a serving platter.

  2. 9

    Serve with Curry Ketchup

Serve the mushrooms warm with the curry ketchup on the side for dipping.
