Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Wash all the red chili peppers, tomatoes, and garlic cloves under running water. Remove the stems from the chili peppers and tomatoes, and chop them into smaller pieces for easier blending.

  2. 2

    Blend the Base Ingredients

In a blender, combine the chopped chili peppers, garlic cloves, tomatoes, vinegar, and water. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Sauce

Pour the blended mixture into a saucepan and heat over medium heat. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Add Seasoning

Once the sauce is simmering, add salt, sugar, cumin, and black pepper. Stir well to incorporate the spices into the sauce.

  3. 5

    Simmer and Thicken

Continue to simmer the sauce for about 15-20 minutes until it thickens slightly. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.

Finishing Touch

  1. 6

    Cool and Store

Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the sauce to cool completely. Once cooled, transfer the sauce to a clean bottle or jar. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
