Preparation Steps

   Brew Espresso

   Using an espresso machine, brew 2 shots of espresso into a coffee cup or small mug.

   Heat Water

   In a kettle or pot, heat 6 ounces of water until it reaches a simmer. Avoid boiling the water.

   Combine Espresso and Water

   Slowly pour the hot water over the brewed espresso in the cup. This creates the Americano effect, diluting the espresso while maintaining the coffee flavor.

   Add Optional Ingredients

   If desired, stir in sugar and/or milk/cream to taste, adjusting according to your personal preference.
