Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meat

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat and set aside. If using shredded chicken, ensure it is well-cooked and seasoned.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Beans

In a small saucepan, heat the black beans and refried beans over low heat until warmed through, stirring occasionally.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Layer the Chips and Ingredients

On a large baking sheet, spread out the tortilla chips evenly. Top with an even layer of cooked ground beef or shredded chicken, followed by the warmed black beans and refried beans.

  2. 4

    Add Toppings

Sprinkle diced tomatoes, sliced green onions, and jalapeños over the top of the layered chips and meat mixture.

Cheese Melting

  1. 5

    Melt the Cheese

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Generously sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the nachos. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  1. 6

    Final Touch

Once the cheese is melted, remove the nachos from the oven. Drizzle sour cream over the top before serving. Enjoy your fiesta nachos hot!
