Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the fresh ingredients

Wash the fresh tomatoes and green onions thoroughly. Dice the tomatoes into small cubes and slice the green onions thinly, separating the green parts from the white parts.

  2. 2

    Heat the refried beans

In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the refried beans until they are heated through, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

Assembling Nachos

  1. 3

    Layer the corn chips

Spread the corn chips evenly on a large oven-safe plate or baking sheet.

  2. 4

    Add the beans

Spoon the warm refried beans evenly over the corn chips, making sure to cover most of the chips.

  3. 5

    Add tomatoes and green onions

Sprinkle the diced tomatoes and sliced green onions over the beans, distributing them evenly.

  4. 6

    Add cheese

Grate or sprinkle the cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the nachos.

Baking

  1. 7

    Melt the cheese

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the assembled nachos in the oven and bake for approximately 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  1. 8

    Add final touches

Remove the nachos from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Drizzle the sour cream over the top and garnish with the green parts of the sliced green onions.

  2. 9

    Serve

Serve the cantina nachos immediately while warm, allowing everyone to dig in and enjoy!
