Method

Preparing the Meat

  1. 1

    Marinate the Carne Asada

In a bowl, combine the carne asada with salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Chorizo

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chorizo until fully browned. Drain excess fat and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Carne Asada

In the same skillet, add the marinated carne asada and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until desired doneness is reached. Remove from heat and let rest before slicing.

  4. 4

    Chop and Combine

Once the carne asada has rested, chop it into small pieces and mix it with the cooked chorizo. Add chopped cilantro for flavor.

Preparing the Tacos

  1. 5

    Warm the Tortillas

In a dry skillet, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until soft and pliable.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Tacos

Place a generous amount of the carne asada and chorizo mixture onto each tortilla. Top with shredded cabbage and chopped cilantro.

Grilling the Vegetables

  1. 7

    Prepare the Jalapeño and Onion

Drizzle the jalapeño and onion with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.

  2. 8

    Grill the Vegetables

On a grill or griddle, cook the jalapeño and onion until charred and softened, about 5-7 minutes.
