Preparation
- 1
Juice the Oranges
Start by cutting fresh oranges in half and using a citrus juicer to extract 3 oz of fresh orange juice. Strain the juice to remove any pulp if desired.
- 2
Combine Tequila and Orange Juice
In a shaker, combine 2 oz of tequila with the freshly squeezed orange juice. Add ice and shake well until chilled.
- 3
Prepare Glass
Take a champagne flute and pour the tequila and orange juice mixture into the glass, filling it about halfway.
- 4
Add Champagne
Slowly top off the glass with 4 oz of chilled champagne, allowing it to mingle with the orange juice mixture.
- 5
Finish with Grenadine
Drizzle 0.5 oz of grenadine into the drink. It will sink to the bottom, creating a beautiful gradient effect resembling a sunrise.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Optionally, garnish with a slice of orange on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately and enjoy your Sunrise Mimosa!
