Combine Dry Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. If desired, fold in chocolate chips at this stage.
Cooking Pancake

Heat the Pan
Preheat a non-stick skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Lightly grease with a little butter or oil if necessary.

Cook the Pancake
Pour the batter into the heated pan, forming a single pancake. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set.

Flip the Pancake
Carefully flip the pancake using a spatula and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on the other side until golden brown.
Serving

Transfer the pancake to a plate. Serve warm with your favorite toppings such as syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
