Prepare the Biscuit Dough
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add Butter
Cut in the unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add Milk
Stir in the milk until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat it into a rectangle about 1 inch thick. Cut out biscuits using a round cutter.

Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Brown the Sausage
In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.

Sprinkle the 1 tablespoon of flour over the sausage and stir to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Bring to a simmer.
