Method
Preparation
- 1
Chill the Champagne
Place the bottle of champagne in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to ensure it is well-chilled.
- 2
Prepare the Orange Juice
While the champagne is chilling, squeeze fresh oranges to extract 2 cups of juice. Strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve to remove any pulp or seeds for a smoother texture.
- 3
Mix the Mimosa
In a champagne flute, pour 1 part freshly squeezed orange juice and 2 parts chilled champagne. For example, if you use 1/2 cup of orange juice, add 1 cup of champagne.
- 4
Serve
Gently stir the mixture and serve immediately. You can garnish with a slice of orange on the rim of the glass if desired.
