Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Lamb Chops

In a small bowl, mix together the fresh oregano, salt, black pepper, and olive oil to create a marinade. Rub this mixture all over the lamb chops to ensure they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for better flavor.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Lemon

While the lamb is marinating, cut the lemon in half and juice one half for the marinade. Reserve the other half for serving later.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat. If using a grill, ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Lamb Chops

Once the grill or pan is hot, place the marinated lamb chops on it. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Adjust the cooking time based on your preferred doneness.

  3. 5

    Rest the Chops

After cooking, remove the lamb chops from the heat and let them rest for about 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute within the meat, making it more tender.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve with Lemon

Plate the lamb chops and serve with the reserved lemon half. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the chops just before eating to enhance the flavors.
