Juicing Process
- 1
Prepare the Cranberries
Rinse the fresh cranberries under cold running water to remove any dirt or debris. Discard any damaged or soft cranberries.
- 2
Cook the Cranberries
In a large saucepan, combine the rinsed cranberries and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cranberries burst and soften.
- 3
Strain the Mixture
After the cranberries have cooked, remove the saucepan from heat. Use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to strain the mixture into a large bowl or pitcher. Press down on the cranberry pulp to extract as much juice as possible.
- 4
- 5
Add Lemon Juice
Stir in the lemon juice to enhance the flavor and balance the tartness of the cranberry juice.
- 6
Chill and Serve
Transfer the cranberry juice to a clean bottle or jar and refrigerate until chilled. Serve the juice over ice or enjoy it straight from the fridge.
