Method
Preparing the Chicken Parmesan
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Take the chicken breasts and pound them to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch using a meat mallet or rolling pin.
- 2
Set up Breading Station
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour mixed with salt and pepper, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with grated Parmesan.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Coat each chicken breast in flour (shaking off excess), then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure an even coating on all sides.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Once hot, add the breaded chicken cutlets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a baking dish.
- 5
Add Sauce and Cheese
Pour the tomato sauce evenly over the fried chicken cutlets. Top each cutlet with 2 slices of provolone cheese.
- 6
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Cooking the Spaghetti
- 7
Boil Water
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt to the boiling water.
- 8
Cook the Spaghetti
Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
