Method
Preparing the Chicken
- 1
Cutting the Chicken
Cut the boneless chicken breast into bite-sized pieces, about 1-2 inches in size.
- 2
Mixing the Batter
In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.
- 3
- 4
Coating the Chicken
Dip each piece of chicken into the egg wash, then coat it in the flour mixture. Ensure each piece is well coated.
Frying the Chicken
- 5
Heating Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 6
Frying the Chicken
Carefully add the coated chicken pieces to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 5-6 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 7
Draining Chicken
Remove the chicken wings from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Making the Sauces
- 8
Buffalo Sauce Preparation
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Once melted, add hot sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and vinegar. Stir until combined and heated through.
- 9
Tossing and Serving
- 10
Tossing in Sauce
Choose your preferred sauce (buffalo or honey barbeque) and toss the fried chicken wings in the sauce until evenly coated.
- 11
Serving
Serve the boneless chicken wings hot, garnished with celery and blue cheese dressing, if desired.
