Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Rice

In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 2 cups of rice, reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 18-20 minutes, until the rice is cooked and water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork, and keep warm.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and chop the bell pepper, carrot, broccoli, zucchini, and snow peas into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Sauce

Minced the garlic cloves finely and mix them with oyster sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a small bowl. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Stir-Fry the Vegetables

In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chopped vegetables starting with the carrots, followed by broccoli, bell pepper, zucchini, and snow peas. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender-crisp.

  2. 5

    Add the Sauce

Pour the prepared sauce over the stir-fried veggies in the skillet. Stir well to coat the vegetables evenly, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Serve the stir-fried veggies over a bed of the cooked rice. Enjoy warm.
