Method
Preparing the Soup
- 1
Cook Chicken
In a large pot, add the chicken breast and pour in the chicken broth. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then lower the heat and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
- 2
Flavor the Broth
Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pot and shred it using two forks. In the same pot, add minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, fish sauce, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
- 3
Cook Noodles
In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add the rice noodles and cook according to package instructions (usually 3-5 minutes). Once cooked, drain and set aside.
- 4
Combine Chicken and Broth
Return the shredded chicken to the pot with the broth and stir to combine. Add the cooked rice noodles and heat through for another 2-3 minutes.
Assembling the Dish
- 5
Prepare Toppings
In a small bowl, prepare the toppings by mixing crushed peanuts, chopped green onions, fried garlic, toasted sesame seeds, and chopped cilantro.
- 6
Serve
Ladle the chicken noodle soup into bowls and generously top with the prepared toppings. Serve hot and enjoy!
