Method
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all the ingredients and ensure the sauerkraut is drained and patted dry.
- 2
Assemble the Sandwich
Lay out two slices of rye bread. Spread 2 tablespoons of Russian dressing on each slice. Layer half of the corned beef on one slice, followed by half of the sauerkraut, and then top with 2 oz of Swiss cheese. Place the other slice of bread on top to complete the sandwich.
- 3
Grill the Sandwich
Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Once melted, place the assembled sandwich in the skillet. Grill for 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Flip the sandwich, add the remaining butter to the skillet, and grill the other side for another 4-5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
- 4
Serve
Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice in half, and serve hot. Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients to make a second sandwich.
