Crab Cakes

Method

Crab Cakes

1

Prepare the mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, chopped green onions, bread crumbs, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until well combined.

2

Form the patties

Using your hands, form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

3

Fry the patties

In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Spicy Remoulade

4

Mix the remoulade

In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, lemon juice, chopped capers, minced garlic, paprika, and salt until smooth and well combined.

5

Serve

Serve the crab cakes hot with a generous side of the spicy remoulade for dipping.
