Glass + Rim

Garnish (optional)

Method

Glass + Rim

1

Pour Old Bay seasoning and coarse salt onto a small shallow plate and mix evenly.

2

Run a lime wedge around the top rim of a tall glass (collins or pint) to moisten it.

3

Invert the moistened rim into the Old Bay–salt mixture, twisting gently to coat the rim evenly. Set the glass aside.

Cocktail

4

Combine

Fill a cocktail shaker or mixing glass with the ice (large cubes). Add vodka, spicy Bloody Mary mix, lemon juice, prepared horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, celery salt, and freshly ground black pepper.

5

Mix

Stir the mixture briskly for 15–20 seconds (or roll between two shakers if you prefer a little aeration) to chill and integrate flavors. Avoid shaking vigorously if you want to keep a clearer texture.

6

Taste & adjust

Taste a small amount (or pour a teaspoon into a separate glass). Adjust seasoning to your preference: add another dash of hot sauce for heat, up to 1 tsp horseradish for more bite, or more lemon for brightness.

7

Serve

Fill the rimmed glass with fresh ice and strain the mixed Bloody Mary into the prepared glass.

Garnish (optional)

8

Skewer the olives on the cocktail pick. Add the celery stalk and lime wheel to the glass as garnish, resting the cocktail pick across the rim or placing it inside the glass.

9

Serve immediately with a straw and an extra lime wedge on the side.
