Beef Talloq

Method

Chili Crisp Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chili Crisp

In a saucepan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and shallots, cooking until fragrant and lightly browned. Stir in the chili flakes and sesame seeds, cooking for another minute. Remove from heat and let cool.

Scallion Beurre Monte Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Beurre Monte

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, add the chopped scallions and lemon juice. Stir gently until the scallions are softened. Keep warm.

Cooking the Scallops

  1. 3

    Sear the Scallops

Pat the scallops dry and season with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Once hot, add the scallops and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from heat.

Cooking the Beef Talloq

  1. 4

    Prepare the Beef Talloq

In a bowl, mix the minced beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Form into small patties. In a skillet, cook the patties over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes per side until cooked through.

Plating

  1. 5

    Serve the Dish

On a serving plate, place the seared scallops, drizzle with scallion beurre monte, and top with chili crisp. Serve alongside the beef talloq.
