Brown the Beef
Add the cubed beef to the pot and brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the paprika and caraway seeds, mixing well.

Simmer the Goulash
Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the beef is tender and the flavors meld together.

Remove bay leaves before serving. Serve hot, preferably with crusty bread or over egg noodles.
