Tiramisu Directions
- 1
Prepare the Coffee Mixture
Brew a cup of espresso coffee and let it cool down to room temperature.
- 2
Mix the Mascarpone Cream
In a large bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
- 3
Soak the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso coffee, making sure not to soak them too long to avoid them becoming soggy.
- 4
Layer the Ingredients
In a rectangular dish, layer half of the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the ladyfingers.
- 5
Repeat the Layers
Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers and top with the remaining mascarpone cream mixture.
- 6
Chill and Garnish
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with dark chocolate shavings.
