Method

Crostini Preparation

  1. 1

    Slice and Toast Baguette

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and brush them lightly with olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy.

Cream Cheese Spread Preparation

  1. 2

    Mix Cream Cheese

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, fresh dill, and lemon juice. Use a hand mixer or a fork to blend until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

Tomato Caper Relish Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Relish

Chop the cherry tomatoes in half and finely dice the red onion. In a separate bowl, combine the tomatoes, capers, diced red onion, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let it sit for about 10 minutes to meld the flavors.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble Crostini

Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on each toasted baguette slice. Top with a piece of smoked salmon and a spoonful of the tomato caper relish. Garnish with fresh chives.
