Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Tomato

Slice the tomato into thin slices and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Cheeses

Grate or slice the Gouda, Cheddar, Swiss, and Mozzarella cheeses. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Spread

If using store-bought roasted garlic parmesan spread, ensure it’s ready. If making homemade, combine roasted garlic with softened butter and grated parmesan cheese.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

Take two slices of sourdough bread and spread 1/2 tablespoon of roasted garlic parmesan spread on one side of each slice. Layer with a mix of Gouda, Cheddar, Swiss, and Mozzarella cheeses, a few slices of tomato, and two slices of bacon. Top with another slice of bread, spread side down.

Cooking

  1. 6

    Grill the Sandwich

In the same skillet used for the bacon, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet and grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted. Add more butter as needed for the second side.

Serving

  1. 7

    Slice and Serve

Once grilled to perfection, remove the sandwich from the skillet. Let it cool slightly before slicing it in half. Serve warm with a side of your choice.
