Preparation
- 1
Prep the Brussels Sprouts
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Cut them in half lengthwise.
- 2
Chop the Onion and Garlic
Dice the onion and mince the garlic cloves.
- 3
Prepare the Prosciutto
Slice the prosciutto into small pieces or strips.
- 4
Grate the Parmesan
Use a grater to grate the Parmesan cheese into fine shreds.
Cooking
- 5
Sauté the Onions and Garlic
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- 6
Cook the Brussels Sprouts
Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Sauté for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and slightly caramelized.
- 7
Add the Prosciutto
Add the prepared prosciutto to the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes until it starts to crisp up.
- 8
Finish with Lemon and Parmesan
Remove the skillet from heat. Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top. Toss to combine and serve immediately.
