Burger Patties

Whiskey & Onion Gravy

Method

Burger Preparation

1

Form the Patties

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and shape them into quarter-pound patties. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

2

Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

Whiskey & Onion Gravy

3

Sauté the Onions

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they are caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.

4

Add Whiskey

Carefully add the whiskey to the pan and let it simmer for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5

Make the Gravy

Sprinkle the flour over the onions and whisk to combine. Slowly add the beef broth while continuing to whisk. Let the gravy simmer until thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Assembly

6

Assemble the Burgers

Place a patty on the bottom half of each potato bun. Top with cheddar cheese, a generous spoonful of whiskey & onion gravy, house-made pickles, and the top half of the bun.

7

Serve

Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
