Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the flat-iron steak with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare, depending on thickness. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Grilled Green Chile

  1. 3

    Prepare and Grill the Chiles

Toss the fresh green chiles with olive oil and salt. Place them on the grill and cook until charred and softened, about 10 minutes, turning occasionally.

Pico de Gallo Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Pico de Gallo

Chop the tomatoes, onion, and cilantro. In a bowl, mix them with lime juice and salt. Set aside.

Guacamole Preparation

  1. 5

    Make the Guacamole

Mash the avocados in a bowl. Stir in lime juice, salt, diced onion, and chopped cilantro. Mix until well combined.

Cooking Pinto Beans

  1. 6

    Cook the Pinto Beans

Rinse the pinto beans and soak them in water overnight. Drain and place in a pot with 3 cups of fresh water and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours until tender.
