Cook the Noodles
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add lasagna noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Meat Sauce
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until the onion is translucent. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Simmer the sauce for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Prepare the Cheese Mixture
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.

Layer the Lasagna
In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Place 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread one-third of the cheese mixture over the noodles, followed by one-third of the meat sauce and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese. Repeat this process two more times, finishing with a final layer of noodles, meat sauce, and the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.

Bake the Lasagna
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
