Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Mix well until evenly distributed.

  2. 2

    Warm the Milk

In a small saucepan, gently heat the milk over low heat until it is warm to the touch but not boiling. Remove from heat.

  3. 3

    Add Wet Ingredients

Add the warm milk and melted unsalted butter to the dry ingredients. Crack in the egg and mix until a dough begins to form.

  4. 4

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

    First Rise

Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shaping and Baking

  1. 6

    Shape the Rolls

After the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball.

  2. 7

    Prepare the Baking Pan

Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper. Place the shaped rolls in the dish, leaving some space in between.

  3. 8

    Second Rise

Cover the rolls with a kitchen towel and let them rise again for about 30 minutes until puffy.

  4. 9

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) while the rolls are rising.

  5. 10

    Bake the Rolls

Once the rolls have puffed up, bake them in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Finishing Touches

  1. 11

    Prepare the Topping

In a small bowl, melt the 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Stir in garlic powder and chopped parsley.

  2. 12

    Brush the Rolls

As soon as the rolls come out of the oven, brush them with the garlic butter mixture for added flavor.

  3. 13

    Serve

Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving them warm. Enjoy your delicious dozen rolls!
